The support provided during Sarah’s diagnosis and treatment were invaluable in making for as best an experience as possible for Sarah and her family. From the nurses at her side all the way through end-of-life care, there is so much gratitude for what it takes to be a supporter of a child with cancer and dedicated to the holistic service of their families. We support the supporters who choose to go into careers related to pediatric cancer.

The Sarah M. Hughes foundation provides a fund for current nurses to use towards continuing education or higher degrees.

Seattle University: Pediatric Oncology Nurse Scholarship
The Sarah M. Hughes foundation funds a scholarship for undergraduate students who express an interest in pursuing their nursing degree with a specialty in pediatric oncology.

The Sarah M. Hughes Foundation contributes to Camp Goodtimes where they offer children or young adults the chance to grow, belong, and rejuvenate while surrounded by peers who understand the impacts of childhood cancer.

Providence Safe Crossings Pediatric Grief Program
The Sarah M. Hughes Foundation supports the Safe Crossings Program which is for children and teens who are facing or have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives.
